The movie premiere, event with the presence of numerous celebrities, showcased Patrice and featured an accompanying art exhibition with works by Barron Claiborne, Jules Arthur, Delphine Diallo, Mambu Bayoh, J. Quazi King, and Myron Christian Macauley.

Event took place during New York Fashion Week at the JIMMY rooftop at the James Hotel in the heart of Soho on September 9, 2013.

The main actors, the Lion Base crew, made their debut on-screen appearance in the film, which was beautifully shot by cinematographer Shawn Peters and acclaimed visual artist Barron Claiborne. Titled “The Rising of the Son,” the film is proud to have been edited by Academy Award nominee Anne-Sophie Bion, renowned for her exceptional work in the film “The Artist.”

The silent auction of the exhibited artwork was a resounding success, raising funds for the ongoing education of the boys from the (Lion Base) FOLORUNSHO creative collective based in Sierra Leone.
