In response to the tragic mudslide in Freetown, Sierra Leone, in 2017, we established a beacon of hope through innovation and resilience. Our mission at the Female Innovation Lab is to empower women affected by the disaster to become self-sufficient entrepreneurs. By teaching them to build solar-powered mobile phone charging stations from recycled materials, we offer them a sustainable source of income and bring vital services to regions with limited electricity.
These initiatives do more than provide immediate relief—they foster long-term resilience and community development. The lab serves as a transformative platform for women, allowing them to rise as leaders and innovators in their communities. By supporting our cause, donors contribute to a cycle of empowerment and innovation that not only changes lives but also strengthens the entire community against future challenges.
