TO BE OR TO HAVE: INSIDE OUT PROJECT PARIS & BERLIN

#DIDYOUSEETHIS? #WHOARETHEY?

Folorunsho Creative Collective and the #JR “Inside Out” project targeted high-end luxury shops in Paris and West Berlin. The aim was not to point fingers, but to raise awareness of different realities and highlight the lack of balance in our society.

This guerrilla #streetart initiative was designed to create a dialogue by confronting two extremes, putting things into a new context, and hopefully changing people’s perceptions and perspectives – a person entering these opulent stores to buy a $10,000 ring was faced with the image of a child forced to kill so someone else could shine. Meanwhile, someone eyeing a $5,000 bag in a store window saw the face of a person struggling to earn 500 Leones (equivalent to $1) for their next meal.

“The craving for depth and some kind of meanings and awareness and balance is THE cause of our generation, everyone can feel it …..and it’s every generations inheritance to make the world to their liking. so…voila. let people think about it, see it and raise questions like ….who are they ? ….and while looking for answers create a dialogue. If you change your thoughts u change your actions.”
